Pokémon Black and White versions introduce a new Generation. Generation V is playable on the Nintendo DS and is compatible with Generation IV games (Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold, Soul Silver). As far as technology goes, the 3D engine is being used to an even greater extent that the previous games. Full perspective is gained from the new radial-type geometry (you can basically walk in circles). This game features new Pokémon, finally numbering over 500 different species.
